Sterlite Containers

MichHerper Oct 10, 2005 08:05 PM

I was given a rack system a while back, but it only had a couple sterlite containers. I need some more to fill it but can't seem to find the right size. Can anyone think of a good place to order a variety of different size sterlites?

Thanks,
jeff

What is the size, including the height of the containers. Measure the actual height yourself, without the lid.

Sterilite had three different sweater boxes out as recently as last year. I think one was at Walmart, another at Shopco, and a third at Target. At least I think that's how it was. A pain to be sure.

Walmart here carries the 28qt tubs & 12 qt tubs these are approx 5 5/8 tall from the feet to the top of the lip.

Target here carries the 32qt tubs & 15 qt tubs these i think are 6" tall not sure as i dont use them very often on racks due to a 90 mile round trip to get them vs a 16 mile round trip for the 28 qts from Wallyworld . hope this helps

I don't know if you guys have these but there is a store called Big Lots here in Joplin MO and apparently they just buy up things from when a store goes out of buisness. I got my steralite container from them. they have a whole aisle full of different sizes and they are pretty cheap!

Try to find the model number of the box. Sometimes it is stamped right into the bottom. You can also go to sterilite.com and search through the different types of boxes to find out exactly what you have. Was the rack built by a commercial builder? If so, check their website for box info. Once you have found the model number, post it here. I have some old 12 qt boxes and have access to a couple different models. Just a note, sterilite makes similar size boxes with slightly different shapes and capacities so that retail stores that compete with each other can offer a similar but not the exact same product. That's why Target has the 32 qt box and Walmart has the 28 qt.
