Question on Sperm Plugs

For the experienced breeders who notice such things.....

Do sperm plugs occur in males year round or just during breeding season?

I'm not sure, but one of my males was producing last year around September.

...most males if they are not actively producing sperm will clear the hemipenes often during the first shed after the breeding season is over. Note some males can and will breed for 6-9 months or more during a given year, and these males will USUALLY have sperm plugs. Scott J. MIchaels DVM
