Monitor Breeders of the East Coast

Kelsaurian Jul 20, 2003 09:03 PM

i refuse to get imports. i dont want to deal with parasites or skidishness or any other issues that may come with imported animals. SO. i am looking for recomendations of monitor breeders on the east coast, as i dont want to have my future hatchling shipped such a far distance. not having the lizard shipped at all would be ideal, as i prefer to purchase first hand, and see what I am buying first. Any recomendations or references to east coast breeders?

BTW, i will be at several expos, the VA captive bred reptile expo on oct 26th http://www.pythons.com/vashow.html , the northern va reptile expo on aug 23rd http://www.nvre.org and the VA capital reptile expo on aug 22nd http://www.nvre.org/vcre/
anyone else plan to go?

But there are some people who breed ackies on the east coast, and Dan Turner of Tarpit Reptiles bred Blackthroats, but thats all that comes to mind. Ther rest are mostly western, and central USA.

Possibly, not sure, but either way they can put you in contact with people who BREED them locally to the East Coast. They are a reputable dealer of Monitors and Large Herps.
