cagesbydesign ok for Boa

Lacrosseboss18 Oct 11, 2005 11:30 AM

I recently puchased a cage made by cages by design. I wanted to put a 4foot boa in it. Would these cages be ok for one. The cage is 5' high X 4' long X 3' Wide. I have 3- 250watt dome lights and 3 rock cliffs.
Thanks Joseph

If you can maintain proper temps and humidity and the domes are unaccessable to the boa then it would work I imagine.

Yes there is no way the boa can get in contact with the lights. There is a mesh between the lights and the cage as well as spacers on the lights so it sits up off the screen about 2-3 inches. Humidity might be an issue, but i plan to try different misters and see how that works. Any other opinions?
Thanks
Joseph

I have one 4x4x2 that was originally used for a trio of Prehensile Tailed skinks that went on breading loan. I's currently home to a 6' jungle carpet. I have a ceramic heater at the top, and it's above the screen. The snake usually finds a suitable spot to bask and climb, or cool down. Nice cage, but was expensive, new. Yours should work well for the boa.
