I recently came across three pictures of a python in the Amazon, seems to be a retic to me (I know wrong forum but this is where I usually post). I will post two of the three pictures. The third shows the contents of the meal which is a bit shocking. Let me know if you have seen these.

I apologize for offending you. It was not meant as an insult to you, your experience, or your question.

Nope...no offense meant here either. I was really defering to the fact thes same pics show up from time to time to dramatize burms and retics.
Was I right about the next pic?

http://www.snopes.com/horrors/animals/anaconda.htm

Check out this website...anytime you see pics like those snake pics, not just snakes...anything.
Go to snopes.com to see if it's a hoax. Some of the stories in there are pretty funny, and interesting at the same time.
read through the website...I'm sure you'll find at least one urban legend in there that you've heard.

This definitely isn't a new picture. I saw these three pictures a few years ago on rotten.com Just another reason people need to know what they're doing and a reminder as to why some states have laws against owning larger pythons/boas. They aren't toys and they aren't tame, but most people already know that so no use in preaching to the choir.

They've definitely been around a long time. If you've only been in the forum 4 years, that explains it. It isn't long enough.

It was the Phillipines, a pig, and about 3 years ago. Staged shot with the human.

Yes, I have seen them. I live in Venezuela and these photos did the rounds a couple of years back. It's rumoured that anacondas eat little indian kids. Not sure I believe it, but a lot of Venezuelans do.
