must be a hoot seeing his litle face peeking up over her. but can such a little boy tort... umm... "reach" that far and successfully mate with such a big gal?
how old/big is he, out of curiosity?
He is actually not as small as he looks in that photo. I have had him around 7 or 8 years and he has grown from 7 1/4 inches to 9. He looks small compared to her since she is now over 12 inches and very domed.
But yes, he can (and has) successfully bred that female and my other as well.
This was the last clutch in the incubator from the past season.
They are now about a month old.
Are you going to sell any of those babies? Are they from a Brazilian bloodline?
But they are all sold
i suppose that, because of the angle of the picture, i was thinking that he looked not much bigger than my junior (who at about 2 years of age is maybe.. i dunno, 5 1/2 inches-ish?).
i had this silly mental image of her tiring of him, walking away from him and him just rolling onto his back because he looked so little!
good to hear that he's getting the job done... hehe...
He is much smaller than my females when you see them together but he just isn't THAT small.
But you are right in that he has toppled off the back of a girlfriend more than once.
I imagine that it is very embarrassing for him.
