I have been reading about humidity and temps in a WTF terrarium but I can not seem to get either to the correct requirments. I havea 29gal tank with a glass top and a hood lamp. But I have read that glass tops dont let enough air flow. So I took the screen top I had and covered the half with the hood lamp and covered the other half with the glass only now the heat escapes and so does the humidity ARG? I dont know what to do please someone help me *Froggie*

i dont know what you are doing wrong, but i have a 29 gal tank for my millipedes and my african toad, and humidity stays at about 60-80%. what i have is about 4 inches of dirt and 4 live plants. the plants help keep the humidity up b/c they are constantly releasing oxegen and water. i also have a heat pad under one side of the tank. i have a screen lid which i have taped up half of. the other half has a strip light over it, so there isnt much screen left uncovered.
good luck.

what substrate do you use? misting more should help.
bed-a-beast helps the humidity pretty well. check the temps under the heat lamp, near the heat lamp, and on the other end of the tank. as long as one is warm enough, its fine because the frog can go there if he needs. use only a screen to ensure air flow. a large water bowl under the heat lamp will add humidity as well. also putting an airstone in the water bowl raises humidity as well. keep the air pump outside the terrarium. if heat is not warm enough anywhere in terrarium, a higher wattage heat bulb and possibly heat lamp will be needed.
