salcata and cactus

my question is i have cactus planted in my salcata tank, he is now eating them , could this be harmful to my salcata.

I would assume the needles hairy or spikey wouldn't be very good for them.

I know when they sell apuntia (pear cactus)a good food source for salcata's all the spikes are removed. The hairy needles can usually be burnt right off. But don't serve it hot to them.

I don't know what cactus you have but be careful and find out if their edible for the salcata.

I am 15 years old and I have over 100 Turtles/Tortoises which 45 of those are different species!
