I heard of a female going after prey while locked up and pulling the males pene off..... he only had one in there but if he would have been using both it would have made for a worse situation...
Food for thought... not trying to tell you what to do...

I have heard lots of storys too, like live mice mutilating BPs.
Funny, none of those things ever happen to me, food for thought.
People get too caught up in all these myths. Seriously, you think a prey item never happened upon a breeding pair of balls in the wild or what? Besides, this particular female does not eat mice, and is very shy, the male on the other hand is the opposite. As I said, the situation was supervised and well taken care of. It was a funny pic, try not to over analyze it, especially when you know none of the details.

It doesn't cause problems as long as he is still warm enough to properly digest food, if he's not warm enough however you may end end with a very sick/dead snake! Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles.

That is nonsense, I have a male that eats all year long even when temps are around 65 F at night and yet he never misses a meal, he is about 6 years old now...not sick or dead.

Question... why are you keeping them in 65F, even if it's at night? Are you trying to test the limits? Even if you're cooling them for breeding purposes, no need to drop the temp down to the 60s. Not flaming ya... just trying to understand the situation and/or your logic in BP husbandry.

You may have opened up a can of worms with this picture - feeding with two snakes in the same tub? Hope it was just an accidental drop in!

0.0.2 frogs rescued from pool skimmer
Actually it was on purpose. I know my snakes well enough, and I don't care about other peoples opinions on the matter. It was supervised and perfectly safe, oh well, everyone is always telling everyone else what they should and shouldn't do.
