Jeff, sorry to hear about your and your bloods misfortune.A BROKEN BONES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A SERIOSE INJURY.Broken ribs could puncture vital area's such as lungs, kidneys etc..A broken spine could harm or damage nerve endings if tweaked or bent in weird positions. So don't handle or feed your blood.Get your animal to a vet and did I say don't feed it till you know exactly what is going on. GOOD LUCK. keep us posted Ash Lopez

I'm not a vet, nor have I ever owned a snake that broke any bones, but I would consider any abnormality such as that as serious.

Why not take him in to see a reptile vet? If it's nothing serious you'll be out $20 but you'll have peace of mind. (or if you're lucky, if its nothing the vet wont charge you for the office visit like my vet in So. Cal.)

i am a vet. and it is up to you but if i had a snake that was acting normal and seemed to have no problem moing the entire body i mean head to tip of tail. i wouldnt spend the money on an xray since there is nothing short of surgery that can be done. and blood pythons are not that costly and xrays cost$50.00 and up in almost any office and on top of that you have an office visit,so at least you could be looking at 100.00 to 150.00.
