BRAND NEW SET UP!!!! PICS!!!

icedearthgoddess Oct 12, 2005 12:51 AM

Here it is! Not exactly how I wanted it, but I think it is not bad. I will be adding to eventually, but I did what I could with what funds I had. Any comments would be appreciated!
Here is the run-down of al it all is:
-large rock cave/tunnel hide--moist hide (and it works well migt I add)
-smaller rock cave--dry hide
-small green dish on second level--cal. supp.
-small grey dish--water
-small rock dish--mealworm dish
all others things inside are strictly decorations... rocks, ceramic catus, etc. Any and all improvement suggestions are welcome!

Did you use a turtle dock for the platform? Also may I ask what size tank, and how much did everything inside it run you? Thanks.

The platform was made out of a light weight craft wood (bought from Michael's) with the reptile carpet covering it. The ramp is made from the same materials. The ramp is temporary right now. I have not decided if I will put stairs instead... The ramp is nice becasue it holds by "velcro" and is easy to remove and clean it, as well as under it. That is a plus. The tank is 29 gallons, and I am thinking of putting a second level on the opposite side, maybe a bit higher, a longer and wider. Thus doubling the area of the tank. Any other comments/questions are greatly appreciated/welcomed.

I forgot the cost...it was approximately $50. Not too bad... I even got the tiles & got them cut to fit for $6 . I work at a pet store, so I also got a bit of a discount on a lot of my decoration items. But over all, around 50-60 bucks is the expense for this kind of set up.
