I just want to give a warning out to any residents that may have purchased or thinking of purchsing a animal from Kaches Kritters Located off of Auburn Blvd./Riverside In California.
I went in there to purchase some pinks for my Albino Nelsoni and asked to look at the Balls. The first tank contained 2 05's one of which looked as if he has NEVER shed before! I wa P/O'd at this point. The next tank I looked in had a adult male that was beat up looking and his enclosure was way too small. So I asked to look at him, and the owner handed me anti-bacterial alcohol gel to make sure I wouldn't contaminate his snakes, which I agree with. Well I was cleaner BEFORE i put on the gel, after about 5 seconds (no exageration) I was flicking MITES off of myself and brushing them off the snake, as you know if you see one mite the WHOLE collection is contaminated. i headed straight for the shower at home ant dumped my clothes in the washer!! Im sure as hell not going to put my collectiona t risk.
Plus the tip of tail was about to come off due to retained shed! he saw mw picking off the Mites and didnt say a word. Then I heard him on the phone telling someone that they were getting wrong info and I quote" I dont have time to feed my animals out of their tank, it's ok to feed in their enclosures!!! That person is going to get a surprise!.
I have 35 Ball Pythons and it takes me approximately 3 hours to feed outside of their tubs but it's worth it.
