i know that mold is normal and usually go away after a while but i think i have a higher than average mold problem and im starting to worry.about 3/4's of my floor that is almost completely covered in live moss,is now covered in a spiderweb like mold that seems to be effecting all the plants that are in its reach, its covering the top of the live moss as well..almost all the plants whos bases have the spiderweb mold are dead or dying and the only plants that are doing well, are the ones growing on the wall.now the spiderwebs are beginning to appear on the walls as well and im worried it will harm those plants as well.i have two of the same species of a few plants and the ones on the floor in the mold have died when the same plants out of the molds reach are doing well.i have went online and read about mold and they say to let the soil dry out but in our vivariums, the soil is wet 24/7.any ideas?? its been a couple months and the mold is only getting worse.is there a safe, natural fungicide i can use??i hate to keep losing plants to this stuff and now it seems im getting a type of fungus on my plant leaves as well.(black spots)and some leaves are rotting right on the stems.the only advise i get while doing searches are that its a humidity problem and that needs to be lowered.when dealing with darts and with the constant misting, the mold is only getting everything it needs.do you guys have the same problem as me ,with spiderweb looking mold covering the moss??

It's not due to spider mites. These cover the undersides of leaves with a fine webbing in dry situations. Give us a list of the plants and mosses you are using in the vivarium, and a general view of your entire set-up, from the kind of substrate and drainage you are using to lighting.

Do you have any darts in the tank yet? They will take care of any mini-bugs you notice in short order. I think the basic problem is what plants you are trying to grow where, and the type of mosses you may have that may not be suitable to particular situations. I don't think the fungi is killing your plants. I think it is just taking advantage of dying plants and already dead material that isn't doing well in the first place in its particular place in your vivarium-- or perhaps some of the plants may not be suitable to rain forest tropical conditions. Some more details may help us out a bit on this.
