You are correct. They are VERY protected in AZ and I don't know too many people "out of the field" that have them legally. Because of my job, I have a unique status which allows me to have protected and endangered species (currently waiting for my rock rattler!) As you can probably guess from my screen name, I am a real Park Ranger. (I'm NOT here to bust anybody, just share and absorb info.) I have education and display permits for my collection as well. They are even harder to get than the possession permits!

I have to say, I love my job. Ranger pay isn't the best (could make a lot more with my computer skills), but I get by. Got some herps at home too so I'm all over the forums.
