Limp leg could mean a fracture, early MBD, pinched nerve... hard to tell without seeing the chameleon. Good to know you're taking him to the vet.
Let us know what happens. Best of luck.

It's usually MBD - but not always. My big male veield has it now,
and it's pretty bad. and it's certainly NOT MBd.

It happened after his burn. His 100W bulb was in a clamp lamp,
and the wingnut came loose when I moved his cage. The weight of
the reflector and bulb caused the lamp to swing down over a few
days, onto the top of the cage ( it was several inches away to
begin with). He burned the heck out of himself. You can see in
the picture, the black spot on his side and knee. The burn to his
knee was really deep. He soon developed a weak leg. He
sometimes sleeps with his rear hanging down a bit from the
branch. He has use of it, and it's got good grip - but he just lets it
hang. Very weird.

It seems to be nerve damage. The burn was down to his bones in
some areas, so extensive damage wasn't a surprise. Amazing
how he's healed though.

Such a shame, hope he heals nice. I have an egyptain uromastyx that was severely burned on her back and sides , she was a rescue.

The sores were open and bloody for over a year. Much time and care, and such patience and suffering on her part, sweet thing, she finally healed, and is a big beautiful lady, many years later

Best wishes with him!

The burn was well over a year ago - he's healed up incredibly well,
though his knee is misshapen and looks like a bare bone because
of the scar tissue.

The burns turned into 1/4 inch thick scabs, and his knee was a big
scab th esize of a peanut m&m - he bit the scab off when they
dried, and they reformed again. when they fell off this time, there
was nice scar tuissue underneath, not raw flesh. I applied SS
cream on the burns and th eraw skin, never had any infection,
despite the large abount of exposed raw flesh.

During the entire burn/healing process, which took over a month,
he never changed behavior, never stopped eating, or showed dull
coloration. It was as if he never noticed the pain.

No complaining, what a good boy he is

People could not stand that pain
