got my hatchling started, but....

i posted about 2 weeks ago about my 1st alterna that i bought who hadnt fed yet and i got her started! i got a house gecko, froze it and last nite got her to eat the tail. i had removed the tail and as i held her, teased her with the end. she didnt seem interested and, on a whim, i turned it around and offered her the cut end. she started poking around, her mouth opening and closing.. and then finally chomped down. she held it in her mouth for about 30 seconds like it was a really odd sensation to her.. lol.. and then swallowed it down. :D :D i was thrilled!

ok, now.. whats next? do i try to feed a f/t pink scented w/ the house gecko? if so, do i just scent with the rubbing or should i cut the gecko open and scent the pink w/ the organs? do i feed her the house gecko alone? should i try a mouse tail? and finally when should i try?

thanks everyone
Scott

Wash a frozen thawed pinky in mild unscented soap and water. Cut a small peice of skin off the gecko, and stick it to the nose/face of the pinky. Put the pink in with the snake in the evening and leave it overnight undisturbed with the lights out. We keep our hatchlings in small sterilite shoe boxes and find that it helps if we take the water bowls and hides out when feeding.
