So much love for Hog Island Boas

sebring Oct 13, 2005 04:25 PM

Here's my 2003 Male Hog Island Boa. He is from Hanley's Herps and is of Sear's Lineage. Awesome snake, great eater, great to handle. Male Hog Island Boas, great snakes, better than balls in my opinion even for novice herpers. The reason I like to handle so much is because they are inquisitive but not overly active like many colubrids. They are also not very cage shy and are much more active than most balls.

I am surprised they are not more popular... you get a great disposition and manageable size, plus they are stunning.

Your Hog appears so light in that pic....very nice!

If you like Hogs...you'll love Nics...so much potential with Nicaraguan boas..
