A friend of mine recently gave me a kenyan sand boa and i was just wondering if i can probe it as i would do a king or cornsnake? i figure i can but there tails are real stubby so i thought i'd ask just to be safe. thanks for any help.

You sure can probe them. Not many people do, as they are relatively easy to sex by comparison. If you only have one, then it won't be easy to compare it, haha. Probing is a fine, and safe method as long as you're experienced.
