do you have a heat lamp and a uv light? what are/were you feeding? they are hatchlings, right? is there adequate filtration to keep their water clean? any nasal discharge or trouble breathing?
I am feeding reptomin. I will put in a filter and a basking light. Thank you.
what size tank is it in? how deep do you have the water? do you have a basking area? you need a heat lamp over the basking area and a full spectrum light over the whole tank. you could get a mercury vapor bulb and fixture, this will give heat and UVB, but it is cheaper to get those at a hardware store or something, the newer mercury vapor bulbs are very expensive. for a basking are, unless you have a nice piece of driftwood, the best thing is turtle dock. it has guides suctioned cuppud to the side of the tank and the dock itself floats up and down with the water level. for filtration i always use whispers. on a 40breeder i have awhisper 5 that filters up to 100 gallons. if you have a ten gallon, get at least a whisper 20. water level is up to you. it should be fine in deeper water, but if you keep the tank full like i do with a turtle dock you will need a screen top if you dont already have one. reptomin is okay, but there are much better foods out there. my favorite is hagen nutrifin max turtle gammarus pellets. but a few foods and alternate which one you feed, this ensures a varied diet and keeps him guessing. if you can afford it now, you might as well get a bigger setup and upgrade the filtration accordingly. he will grow up to a foot if it is a female, and probably about 8 inches if it is a male. so if you keep it indoors full grown a male would need at least a 55 or 50 breeder, and a female would need a 75. you shouldnt need to get that now, but you will probably end up at that point. so the smaller you get a tank, the sooner you will have to upgrade. one idea is pay for a really good setup at tax season if you are going to get a return. if you have any other question just post them.
