Keep one of our own in your thoughts...

I received a phone call from Fred Albury who suffered a heart attack. He is in the hospital and hanging in there. When I have had a chance to talk to him some more, I will keep everyone posted. In the meantime, keep him in your thoughts.

We just lost one of my staff, a 20 year old "kid" in seemingly perfect condition, two weeks ago from a heart attack....he was like a son to me so this has been tough. Fred, hang in there bud.

I just got off the phone with Fred. Sounds like he is doing alright. It was quite a shock to me. He looks healthy but he explained his family has quite a history of heart trouble. His father died from a heart attack at a young age. And both of his brothers had heart trouble. He expects to be released on Friday if there is no further complications. I'm sure he would like to hear from you. He should be back to his computer by tomorrow PM

When things like this happen it always makes me take a hard look at my priorities in life. It is so fragile.

It's really amazing how the internet allows us to get to know people. My first thought after reading Rob's message was to think, "a friend of mine had a heart attack"...then relize I live in Ohio, Fred lives in California, we have never met in person, and spoken on the phone a grand total of once. Yet I feel like I know him and consider him a friend.

Come through strong buddy, and...be smart and follow doctors orders.

Take care
Dean

And as the good Dr. G has already stated; Follow your physician's orders. Just let us know when the warden gives you a pardon and that you're okay...

Thanks Rob, for letting us all know of Fred's condition, as one can never have enough prayers sent up on their behalf...

Fred, we've never met, but I wish you well and share everyone's sentiments. ALSO, I urge those of you posting photos of your children to please stop doing so. Pictures can be viewed by anyone for any purpose.

I will keep you in my prayers, I almost lost my daughter a couple of months ago and came to realize this is not a perfect world but there are people in this world that make it a much nicer place, so hang in there. There are pleanty of people on the other side to greet us when we get there. Bill Ried
