When you enter the Milksnake forum, look at the forum sponsers just above and before where the threads start. You'll see links to websites. You might as well get het for hypo or other traits.

That said, keep in mind that anyone can have nice Hondurans and breed them. As a matter of fact, I found a pet store near me where some guy keeps a few Hondurans and a few Sinaloans that he has had for years, that throw very nice babies including clean Honduran tricolors (or as clean as they get anyway.) He doesn't have a website. He doesn't have many snakes. But he produces nice stuff. Point is, you can find nice stuff sometimes in a person's collection that isn't the biggest breeder of snakes, so don't limit yourself.

Now, can someone please clarify what "hypo" and "het" mean, as far as genetics is concerned?

Thanks!!!

Go to the breeders section and click on Albino Tricolors. This page should help you with your questions.

Do a search for hypo and hetero, it's been covered so many times in the past that you probly won't get a reply here.

Also visit albinotricolors.com from the breeders list, or from the sponsers list and then click on the GENETICS page. There's more than enough information there to have you completely and utterly confused about the many morphs of Hondurans.

If your still unsure after a search and visiting Terry's site, try a google.com search.
SEARCH is your best friend.

I got a great deal from Shores Enuff Snakes on a pair of 03' Tri-color hondos which are double het for hypo and anery. When bred together I'll get a variety of traits like tri-color hypo het anery, anery het hypo, ghosts, and some normals. There's about 9 different gene combos I can get from these. I like to use Morph King's gene wizard to figure out my genetic combos. Thats the beauty of hondurans there's so many morphs you can really change them up!

This is all you can get from your breeding.

Double het x Double het (Hypo and Anery)

1. Ghost
2. Hypos 2/3 chance het anery
3. Anery 2/3 chance het hypo
4. Normals 2/3 chance double het anery/hypo

I know but I think I'm going to breed my ghost male to the double het female. Here's what the wizard gave me(It "looks" like more but is the same as your post I think)

Dbl het to Dbl het for ghost
6.25% Normal
12.5% Het hypo
6.25% Homo hypo
12.5% Het anery
25% Het anery, Het hypo
12.5% Het anery, Homo hypo
6.25% Homo anery
12.5% Homo anery, Het hypo
6.25% Homo anery, Homo hypo

That is most likely correct. But as you know there is no way to tell the definate hets from the possible hets. So anything that is not showing homozigous would be 2/3 chance het. Anycase that is a good looking animal, hope you beat the odds and get all ghosts. John

Lots of amazing animals out there, being produced by the "big boys", and hobbyists we've never heard of. I'd love to have a link to tap into the absolute "best of the best" available animals out there.

How about it, "Kingsnake.com"?

Here is a picture of one of my tri colored double het ghost females that I got from Byron Barnes. I have 4 of these that all look almost the same. They are really clean for big adults.
