If you own an adult Sonoran.... what size is it, and how many mice/rats do you feed it at each feeding?
Thanks,

My adult pair are about 3 years old and roughly four foot long. The male does not eat as much as the female, but he usually takes one or 2 small/medium rats per feeding. No more than once a week. The female varies depending on what time of year it is. Now that breeding season is over she seems content with a few large mice or a rat or two once a week. She can and does eat way more during breeding season. After she laid her first clutch she ate 10 mice. I would guess in most cases a rat or two every 7 to 10 days is about average. Tom Stevens
The one I have (sex unknown) was caught sneaking into my mouse room last June. It was only about 28 to 30 inches at the time and this year it is well over 45 inches. And I have not been power feeding it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how big this critter is going to get?
