Sauromalus hispidus

Is anyone still working with this species? I noticed many of them offered in the classified ads this past year, and have not seen a single one in 2005. Was there a change in their CITES status or something that is preventing people from working with them? Thanks!

Nothing changed for S.hispidus at cites.
But this year was not the best for outside breeding. Only a few hatched. Some other guys were lucky to breed this specie indoors.
Ask schmidtj (www.cyclura.info) and tgreb for babies.

There are several breeders in AZ working with hispidus. I know of one who has an exciting new hybrid not yet announced to the
breeder world. For you chuck lovers enjoy the pic ! Remember no web pic stealing!

If it did happen it does remove the APP.I restrictions for international/interstate shipping. Many zoos kill unwanted endangered specie offspring without penalties it is rather counter-productive. If the hybrids were micro chipped why would it be idiotic?
