PICS of true Apalachicola Kingsnakes

Sean Jul 21, 2003 01:13 AM

Here are some pics of true Apalachicola Kingsnakes that were found within the last year.

I found this male in Leon Co., FL in the Apalachicola National Forest on September 12, 2002.

Carl May found this male in Franklin Co., FL on May 9, 2003. Pic taken by Pierson Hill.

Pierson Hill and I found this male in Franklin Co., FL on July 12, 2003. Pic taken by Pierson Hill.

Hopefully, I'll have some pics soon of a female that was found by a friend today in Leon Co., FL in the Apalachicola National Forest. She looks very similar to the the two found in Franklin Co.

This is a female I bought from Len Krysko in 2002. Her parents are a pair of wild caughts found on the same day by Ray Sokol in Liberty Co., FL in the Apalachicola National Forest in 1992.

I've always wondered if collecting was allowed in national forest. Are their specific laws or do state laws apply?
