Today i put moist paper towels as my pacman frogs substrate, i herd it was the best for them is this right or should i still use bed a beast. Thanks for the help.

i consider wet paper towels to be the cleanest. they can also burrow in it fairly easily, and there is effectively no risk of impaction. bed-a-beast is the only other thing i would ever put them on, but paper towels are much better. whenever they poop change the paper towels out. if after a week they dont poop you should notice a yellowish discoloration of the paper towels from them peeing through their skin, you will need to change it then too. with bed-a-beast the bedding sticks to them, and then you dont get to enjoy their coloration.

I think there's a bit of a misinterpretation there.

I use moist peat moss/dirt. My sole pacman is happy and healthy, but I don't have hundreds of frogs to reference my opinion.

i just googled it any nothing came up about frogs peeing through their skin. but im pretty sure i have read that somewhere. i tmay be wrong. but even when the frog hasnt been pooping there is yellow radiating out from where it sits on the paper towels. he could be peeing out of his vent, but when they squirt it is clear and doesnt semll so i think that is stored water squirted as a defense when "attacked". ill have to look more into it and see if i can find info on it. i know they breateh and "drink" through their skin.

frogs pee normal...not thru the skin.
