I still have a little more figuring out to do, but they are coming along nicely.

set my white balance to sunlight, even though I was taking pics inside, with my Nikon (though mine is an older model)... have you messed much with the white balance setting yet to see if one works better for you?

the correct settings, because eventually I will want to trade up for a newer Nikon, and it would be nice to get an idea on what tricks work. Mine is a Nikon Coolpix 4800 ED. The main problem I had on the original automatic settings was having the pictures have an all over blue wash, rather than a red wash. I'm still having a problem taking real nice macro shots. I can take a few nice ones, but not REAL nice.
Your camera takes very good pictures.

Thats alright Joe. I am also sick of people doing that. Misrepresenting the animals is the worst thing ever. That is why I was excited about figuring this thing out. Check out the new pics I posted above. I think it will get even better.
