New Gopher Set Up

bakeaway Oct 14, 2005 11:10 PM

I have finally got my first gopher snake,it is a Sonoran.
I have a few other snakes and have them set up in terrariums and they are doing great.
But since the gopher is small I want to try and start it in a Sterilite container and then move it to a terrarium when it is larger, My question is what type of heating can I use since it is plastic? I live in Las Vegas,so it will not get that cold. And i will have the house heat on.

If the temps that the gopher will have without any additional heating can be around 78 - 82 at the very most, then you may not need to bother with any more additional heat.

Take care!

Ahh..I see. Yeah..perhaps you should use some heat source of some kind. As far as UTH's, I have no knowledge of them. Just be sure that your snake does not get too hot.

Take care!
