people have told me that my img ball is a female... well lastnight i was taking a group photo of all of my ball pythons together. she was crawling around kinda fast, and her tail was wagging like a puppy dog, and a couple of times i saw her squirting out a clearish gooie fluid...
doesn anyone know what this means? do you guys think she just got too excited? or is she a male???? showing spurm plugs?.... i dont know what spurm plugs look like though...
any info will help me alot.

Where some of the other snakes males ? This has happened whenI have put a male in a with a female , To me it is the female being a bit [bleep]y that the male is present. She stays away and keeps exploring the cage with tail up and urinating everywhere under the sun . In my experience , breeding has never followed this behavier , So I have not choice but to think she does not want him in there . Hope it helps ,

i had all my snakes out because i was taking a group picture of them all. i have 4.3 ball pythons... so maybe that is what was going on, she didnt want to stay still for long... so you think she was getting too "excited"?

I've seen that behavior from my females when I introduce a male and the girl is not ready to breed.

Tho I'm not a big expert on snake mating - I do beleive that snakes do the peeing thing when they feel threatened. The tail wag I've seen in my males prior to trying to breed - haven't seen the females do it, but thats not to say that they don't. Anyway - here is picture of a sperm plug - or at least part of one - you lift my pastels tail and they come right out - kinda like a pez dispenser. LOL

Most of my bigger males (over 1000 grams) it's pretty easy to tell - you just lift thier tail and they've got them hanging out - pretty gross huh - some of the smaller ones (around 600-700 grams) I do have to pop them out. It's done just like popping for sex. Sometimes you can find them in their poop or laying around the cage. If you don't find them the first time you check - you should keep checking sometimes they dry up - try again in a couple of days.

oh oh oh! lol i think ive done that before to one of my males... i was popping him myself for "practice" and this stuff came out! thats what it was... lol. okay i understand now... thank you tosha
