Pueblan X Honduran milksnake

marktrac Oct 15, 2005 03:04 PM

Last year I bought a pueblan x honduran milksnake. I bought him as a pet with no plans to breed him. Since I got him I have looking online to see if anyone does breed them. I haven't found 1. Do any of you breed this cross? Is there a name that this cross goes by? Thanks in advance for all info!

I don't want to descrimate by mentioning only the breeders I know with this cross (I don't have any myself) but there are a few advertising on the kingsnake classifieds. Have you tried doing a search? This cross seems to be available on a fairly regular basis. The "albino pueblans" are nearly always honduran/peublan crosses (some breeders might be crossing other albinos with pueblans to get albinos.)

Hi charlene

I Get better results with the Pueblan x Nelsons Rather Than Pueblan x hondo.
The Nelsoni influence seems to give a brighter albino and a much better disposition.

very pretty - those are probably what I was thinking of primarily. I know I've seen the pueblan/hondurans too - but it's probably the nelson/puebs that I have seen in albino recently. I have a particularly aggressive cold/flu this weekend and have been drugged up on cold medicine so my head is in a fog, lol.

Anyway, I knew there were a few breeders here with similar snakes of interest. The only pueblan crosses that I have are thayeri/pueblans and I can't wait to see what they produce in a few years.

we breed these and call them 'camdurans.' they breed consistantly as far as color and pattern with just the usual amount of variation in color and have very little black tipping. jim

The first Honduran-Pueblan I knew of Larry Keller of Prairieland Herps sold at the Expo in Orlando back in 1994. I bought a pair from him in 94 and still have the female and she is still producing as of this year.
As far as albino Pueblan hybrids the first ones were alb Ruthveni x Pueblan, then someone did Alb Calf x Pueblan and now Albino Nelsoni x Pueblan. I don't know of any albinos done with Albino Honduran in them.
