Hello everyone,

We would appreciate any feeding experiences with U. fimbriatus other than with crickets and mealworms.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Brian

Hi,
My U. fim.'s love Blaberus, I have the Brazalian Wood roaches I use. They love them! In the wild they eat a lot of roaches and seem to take a liking to them in captivity. I breed these things, and they breed really easy.

Hello,

Thank you for the info. We have one who seems perfectly healthy but has not touched supermealworms as yet.

Sincerely,
Brian

Fimbriatus, as well as the other large members of the genus, are fond of the Madagascar hissing roaches as well. This is especially true if they are WC specimens. They respond well to familiar prey items. I've found most Malagasy insectivores react in a way I can only describe as "recognition" the moment they lay eyes on a hisser.

Of course, use shock absorbing substrate as fimbriatus love the vertical ambush and will invariably injure themselves as a result.
