What are the pricings on woma pairs now?

rudedogsurfrat Oct 16, 2005 05:43 PM

in 2002 I payed $1200 for a pair Crutchfield and San Diego Zoo bloodlines.
I'm wondering what a breeding pair is worth these days.

I rarely see breeding pairs for sale.

For myself it really depends on the offspring and what the parents look like. To me the names behind the offspring are all taken with a wee bit of salt, if I can buy a quality animal from somebody Ive never heard of I'll do that. Ive seen lineages that were supposed to be knockouts which in fact were duds IMO. Its also a question of supply (they are not easy to hatch out) and demand (not many people will shell out 500-1000$ for a snake) of course, but I will always price my offspring according to what they look like. Duds will be less expensive than gems etc... of course that "dud" could go on to produce outstanding babies so the mystery still remains...
Cheers
Brett
