I had to leave town unexpectedly for several days, and when I got back, all the water in my terrarium had evaporated, and now I have a sick frog. The terrarium is about 40 gal, with soil as the substrate, and a big bowl of water sunk in the soil to make a little pond. I have been keeping live plants in there, but I'll need to replace them, since they dried up too. For the past 3 1/2 years I have kept two red eyed tree frogs and two fire bellied toads in this terrarium with no problems. Natural light, and temps between 68 - 77 F. One of my red eyed frogs died while I was gone, and the other one was all shriveled up and very listless. He and the two fire bellied toads (and the dead one) were all laying on the bottom of the water bowl. I immediately removed the dead frog and filled the water bowl, and the toads seem ok. One is not looking great, but I think he'll recover. What I am worried about is my surviving red eyed frog. He moves when I prod him, and he's already looking better just sitting in the water. I put crickets in but of course he hasn't eaten. I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do for him.
