Australian water dragon enclosure

ravenor Oct 17, 2005 08:44 AM

I am thinking of buying a pair of baby AWDs to live together. I have got a 3ft x 2ft x 2ft viv to start them of in, but I need to know what size a pair of adults will be comfortable in (WxDxH in feet please). Also, does anyone know if its easy to sex AWDs from a young age because i'd like two females if possible.

No, its really difficult to tell, until 12-24 months. As far as the cage size, they have a territory in the wild that can span over a square mile, so bigger is better, bottom line as big as you are willing to go, is the minimum.

They love to climb, so the taller you can go the better. My cage holds two aussie (eastern) dragons. It's 6 x 4 x 2.
