Another Hibernation ?

I am about to put down my DHL's - I was inquiring as I heard you should not feed them about a week or so to let them clean out their system as they could get intestinal infections if they go down with food in their gut.

Take about two weeks to slowly cut down on temps, and yes cleaning the gut is recommended. I am not sure where this comes from, for plant eaters I know it is especially important.......
