signs of dehydration

sojdas Jul 21, 2003 10:40 AM

hello, i was wondering if there are any physical signs of dehydration on a uros body, i'm not worried about mine, she is eating well, but i would like to know what to look for just in case, thanks!

As long as you are feeding them something juicy here and there, or veggies rinsed in water, and perhaps give them the occasional soak, it's almost impossible for them to dehydrate. Even if you think they are dehydrated, if you feed them a couple of peas for instance then you can be sure they're ok. Their skin doesn't loose any water, they hardly breathe (no water lost in exhale), and they won't urinate unless they are over-hydrated.

Last week, i noticed that my uro left his normal poop and pee treasures, but there was also a liquid substance. Could this be overhydration?

Is it bad for a uro to become over-hydrated? If they do and urinate, does this affect them in any way?

Thanks!
