At what age when they are too old to breed?

gregd Jul 21, 2003 10:44 AM

At what age are bearded dragons unable to breed any longer? I have a 2 year old female that has not been bred. She is very healthy, but is she too old to breed? I don't want her to get sick. Also, my friend has a male at least 5-6 years old who has never even seen another dragon before. Will he be too old to breed w/my female? Will he even know what to do? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have done allot of research and fully prepared to take care of the babies (if they do breed).

They are both at good breeding ages, just make sure your female is in good shape, if she is underweight, or has parasites the stress of laying eggs may kill her. Make sure the male is healthy too, you don't want to expose your dragon to parasites or diseases.
