If you use it, what bulb would you recommend?

If you don't use it, how do you supplement to prevent the need for it?

I dont use it and have had no problems without it at all, Most people use the san diego zoo diet and recommend it to others, I do not use the SDZD or recommend it at all. I use nothing but whole foods, Mice, small rats, chicks, and quail, and fruits and veggies, with proper heat supplementation. The U.V bulbs that you find at stores are just regular bulbs, with a slight ammount of higher U.V. Of course there is no negatives to U.V. bulbs(except that it has been linked to eye damage with monitors) Like I said I have never used it on any of my monitors, red tegu or black/white tegu. But I am not going to say that it is the right way to go, it is all about the tegus, observe them if they start shaking or twitching then pop some U.V. on them, listen to them, learn from them and accomadate to their needs, dont feed the SDZ diet for the simple fact that it is convienent for you, use it if you think it can benefit your tegu.
