I was jw what would happen if you housed a fat tail with another leo from when they were babies what would happen? Also is it possible to breed them together?

They should not be housed together by any means. Since they are from different climates (fattails are from scrublands and savannah type areas, leos are from hotter, more arid climates) they would not do well by any means. Leos also need it much more dry and hot. Fat tails like a cooler environment. FAttails also get substantially larger...about 1/3 larger. And they tend to be more agressive and territorial.
I will not even mention the internal parasite factor.
The fact of it is that keeping two completely different species togehter just adds undue stress on all animals involved. Sometimes even keeping them in the same room is stress enough to make them sick.
I was curious once about hybridizing the two together. I at one time had a trio of fatties and a large breeding group of leos and i wanted to try it, but all of the sources i asked told me that they were too far apart by way of specie to accomplish breeding. I am not even really sure if they would be interested in eachouther...
It would be a good idea to not even attempt anything like that. Enjoy the animals seperately and you will have much happier animals in the long run. -jen

where did you aquire that information? that is completely untrue

i keep my fat tails in the same rack system as my leos, some of them are side by side, and there are tons of others who keep them in their leo racks also, never have i heard one bad thing about that, or keeping them in the same room

but i do agree with everything else said, keeping two different species together is a BIG no no

Bro look down at mine the person i talked to said some1 did it b4 and u can do it jsut watch out out for signs. Also there was 1 known hybrid but it died b4 maturity so its possible i was gonna do that also. so mayb google it

if you wish to do so....please be my guest. But if somebody says that something is ok to do, it is not always ok. I had someone tell me that heroine is ok to shoot once in a while. Doesnt mean i would do it. I have had people tell me that keeping goldfish and neon tetras in the same tank is ok. Doesnt mean it is.
If that one someone told you it is ok to do, i am sure there are at least 200 other hobbyists out there that will tell you that it is not, for all of the reasons listed above and more. Common sence would tell you that if one person says something is ok, but the general concensensus is that it is not good for the animal, you should PROBABLY not do it. There are people out there that have made plenty of husbandry mistakes in the past so you could have the correct information in the present. Or are you one of those people who think it is ok to keep green tree frogs in with their bearded dragons?

well if no1 tries we will never find out. Alot of great things have come out of doing that. some bad but i like to try something. Even if its ben done once im gonna do it. O and drugs r nothing like herps. so i guess i will b the only1 and we will c.
