I know that some slit open the eggs and some don't. I talked to tracy barker, and she does between 53-54 days. My eggs released lots of moisture about 5 days ago, and nothing going on now. What do you think?

I would cut them. When my eggs are at about 45 they look like that and I cut them at 52-53 and they are usually all hatched out by 56 with NOTHING left in the egg.
This was a clutch on day 55 that I cut on 53...

Good Luck!!

One word....NO!
Wait till they pip first. Period. Let mother nature tell you. The little guys inside will tell you when they are ready to come out. When they pip you can cut open a tad more to see inside the egg. Don't rush them.

My first egg pipped Sunday at around 3:30PM - Day 52. I helped him by cutting the egg open a bit. Today, two more have begun pipping. I will help them later. Of the seven eggs in this clutch, only two look like they are ready - heavily collapsed. My incubator does not maintain a constant temp, but more of a range, that I figure averages 89 degrees. Let them pip on their own first. Then help if you like. Be very careful not the cut the little guys/gals.
Good luck!
