I would say that it is not advisable, depending on how large your beardie is it might eat or take chunks off the horned lizard. Also the picutre you posted did not come out, did you read our site?

I would have to side with reptoman as well.

Usually with beardies you really wouldnt want to keep two lizards of different sizes together at all. Because of bites being taken from the smaller lizard. Usually toes or tips of tails go missing because of this.

How large is your beardie?

I really really advise that you read up on your HL on the site provided. Or perhaps return the HL for somthing that is easier for you to care for.

Please dont take this post the wrong way.. I am learning just as you are. I got my HL the exact same way with the same information.

Good luck with your little guy.

Ceasar-there is a comittment to taking care of these lizards. Did you read our site? I've asked you several times, the information on our site will answer 90 percent of your questions. If you have a young horned lizard, and I still don't know what specie it is, my best advice is not to hibernnate it. You can order ants through the winter from Ants Alive and supplement his diet with mini-mealworms and very small crickets, and wax worms. YOu may want to also use a vitiman powder such as Miner-all which also helps. If you feel you cannot be committed with the proper lighting cage and other requirements to take care of one of these my best suggestion is either pass it along to someone on the forum site here, or take it back to the pet shop, these are not lizards that beginners should be attempting to keep, as they are not a bearderd dragon and there is a lot of comittment to taking care of one of these. Once you get the right lighting and feeding regimium going they usually will do o.k. but right now you need to make a decision about this animal right away before it gets ematiated or sick or something else.......

Ohh you are in canada as well? What part?
I am in toronto myself.. so if you are near by i could help you out some.

Here is some feeder advice. Try to order from www.canadianfeeders.com The owner is Rob and a very nice guy to add. If you order in bluk you can save yourself a bit on money and travel time.

I have been feeding the small mealies, small crix and butterworms and wax worms from time to time when i dont have ants. I am currently experinmenting with those large black ants that you find on those huge ant mounds or in your backyard.

Please let me know and i can do my best to try and help you. What kind of lighting do you have? Tank set up?
Have a read of that site and it should really help you out.

If you like email me @ Ciddian@hotmail.com

Ohh forgot to add. You can order from ants alive during the winter most of the time....somtimes they wont, or you are taking a gamble. You can over night the ants as well... They are a bit cool and sleepy but still alright.
