sorry i know this doesn't belong her but no one every goes on the painted turtle forum, and i know a lot of you also keep painteds...

over the summer i rescued a hit by car an since then he's been on anibiotics, special diet, etc. i was wondering if since he is w/c, will i need to hibernate him since he's probably already done it 4-5 times in his life?

You could, but hibernation is good at sorting out weak individuals. If he's been on recovery since summer, continuing to provide for his active state would likely be the safest option.

I agree with that. Those that are ill or recovering from injury should be kept awake until they are fully recovered. Any good herp vet would tell you to keep this one awake.
Good luck with him, it sounds like you've done a really good job so far.
He's still alive!
