Opinions wanted on new boa

mdc Oct 18, 2005 07:55 PM

I just got this guy in from David Morgan this morning and I am really excited about him. I have never seen a belly like this, except for recently I saw some "cryptic boas" for sale that had this sort of belly cleanliness and striping. This should be a fun project to dink around with. Pic was taken by David Morgan (I hope you don't mind David), and thanks for such a smooth transaction.
Has anyone else seen this before? What do you all think about it?

Thanks,
Matt Crabe

I picked up this Killer Possible Het Albino from him at one of the west coast shows. The albino siblings where Super nice, What I would call corals...But Anyway he produced and has some really nice boas, Super nice snag on getting anything from Him. Here is a pic of my boa I got from him, can't wait to prove her out with my Het stripline albino.....

Glad you like him. Where would I find a pic of Cryptic Boas? I vaguely remember hearing about them.

It's hard to take a pic of their belly.

Poor boa, I hate when I hit the water with my belly, really hurts.
Of course I'm just kidding. Interesting trait. Is it genetic?

That's a female colombian. She has very little belly pattern but there is still some there. She only has the pink coloration on the last two third of her belly. Here's the rest of her belly.

I don't know if it is genetic. I have seen clean bellies before, but usually in pastels that have little black to start with. What I find odd about this boa is how all the black speckling that should be on the belly is pushed of to the sides to form stripes. It's not that they're missing, they are just arranged differently. I sure hope it is genetic and I hope there is a super form (wishful thinking, I know.) But with all these cool ball python morphs popping up from clear bellied animals, who knows.
