I have had a female crestie since early Aug. She was a breeder for the people I got her from. In early Sept. she laid one egg up in her tree. I incubated it, but it went bad & turned out to be empty. I kept a laying container in her house since then & finally removed it last week. This morning I find another single egg in her tree. I'm incubating it, but guessing it's infertile as well. Is it possible this little gal just lays one at a time, or is this a sign of something wrong? I've palpated her both times & not felt any other eggs inside.
What's funny is, last night I saw her belly & thought- that looks big, I wonder if she's got eggs again. LOL!

If I am not mistaken Cresteds, like chickens, will lay infertile eggs. So why not have yourself an omlette . JK of course.

I'm fine w/ it being infertile. I'm wondering if it's a problem that she's only laying one at a time? I understand that they normally lay 2...
