I just found this guy and a bunch of his brothers and sisters. The mom is the same that produced the nice yellow ones last year. More pics later.

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.

Past due and doesn't really act as if she wants to drop babies. She still appears very pregnant and swollen.

Nothing to do but wait.

have you taken her to the vet for an ultrasound or anything like that? Is there anything you can do besides wait it out? Just wondering, thats all.
Take care and good luck with her,
Eric

We know how it is waiting for them to drop and getting anxious. 95% of our stuff runs later than everyone else, but are argentine holds the record at 176 days after P.O.S.

Also, congrats on all the great new additions that you have already produced over the years. We always look forward to your newest additions emails and pics.

Chuck really goes through lots of flashlight batteries this time of year. He caught this one around 3 am. I think he keeps duracell in buisness. No one gets more impatient than him.

There was one odd-looking slug that I'm pretty sure was not an infertile, but was a fertilized egg that did not develop, otherwise no stillborns or defectives of any kind.. The female carefully pushed up a little dam of aspen shavings around the litter. I wish I had a video camera! To late I remembered I could take a 10second MPEG with my mavica. Then she took up a guard position between them and the cage-front, she didn't complain much when I took her out. The babies are still sitting in the same place taking in the scenery.. I will leave them there until they begin to crawl on their own.

Gus...you are the man! Seems like everytime I come to the forum, you've got a new clutch ! You have some VERY impressive & beautiful boas. Keep up the excellent work. You definitly are an asset to this hobby ! Dave

Dave, we're doing ok this year and still expecting at least 2 more litters of BCC. Thanks for the compliments.

But I have a feeling the whole season is going to feel like a failure.. my Argentine female is giving every sign she is in distress and will not be able to pass her babies for whatever reason.. since she is my baby that I produced and raised up here if she is lost it will be like a gut-punch.

No matter how many animals you have or how long you've been keeping boas it's hard not to get attached.

Thanks again.
