zeroto4legs Oct 19, 2005 04:15 PM

he evryone i got an agrus that i adopted from a reptiles place bc they were gooijg out of business, the argus has 3 scars 2 on legs one on back from the owner before the reptile place, the owner kept him in a small dog kenal. now he is missing i would say anout 4-8 inchess of his tail.

here are the questions

when he hisses he has a clear liquid comeing out of his nose, at lest that what it looks like it might be from the mouth but looks liike nose, what do you all think this could be?

as for the cage if ya see the post down a lil bit, he is about 5 yrs old and only 38 inches so a 6 ft cage would be 2x his size and 4 ft wide would be bigger than him, he is active ill give u guys that so he might need more room(no problem giving him it). what kind of dirt/soil mix do u guys use for ur argus to build burrows, or what do u guys use,

and here is where my dad come in he get pissed of at me bc of this argus, we have him in the bath room tub (its a hug tub at leat 6 by 3.5 on the bottom)right now with 2 250 w bulbs he is nice and heated, my dad walks in and keeps tellimg me TO NAME HIM!

so do you guys have any good names for a argus that is missing some tail has scars and hisses if you look at him but calms down if ya pick him up and love to get his back legs and tummy rubed(im scared hill poop on me)

thanks for all your help

How about "Angus" the argus.

To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody asks, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" you can say, "Sorry, got these sacks." -JH

I don't have any Idea's on a name but if he has fluid coming out of his mouth or nose a vet visit is in order I would say.
