i almost cant remember when any of mine were that small.when i bought my first chondro many years ago,i bought him from a dealer in florida.i remeber being concerned ,since i was new to chondros,i didnt want one too small and wanted him to have at least a couple months of eating so i knew he was ok and i could handle it.that was a requirment and i insisted on a snake that was still a neonate but a few months old.anyway,it wasnt easy to find a snake of this age at the time.i called many dealers and they either had fresh babies,or yearlings/adults.then i contacted a dealer(wont name names)but i explained my conditions and i was assured this guy was at least 4-5 months old.wouldnt you know it ,when the snake arrived,it was no larger than a pencil!!!!he could have still had egg on his face he was so young.i was pissed and when i called,i was told that the snake was indeed 5 months old just small for his age.lol.anyway,i was lucky that he was a good eater and i grew him into a nice aru.anyway, seeing that picture just reminded me of the shock i experienced when i opened up the box and thought for a second there was no snake in it because the bag felt like there was nothing it it,he was that small.he was the first baby chondro i had ever seen and i really didnt think they even came that small.lol

I know what you mean Icey. I knew my new one would be small, but they are so cute you just can't believe something that little can eat anything! Had no problems with the pinky I gave it though! They can eat surprisingly large prey for their size. Mine's already gained 7 grams since I got it.
