We we got home last night (Wed) at midnight, we found a little wet head poking out from one of the eggs!
So as not to disturb the little chap, I set up our digital camcorder in 'night vision' mode (also acts as an infrared heat source!) and did some time-lapse photography. Made a 'tent' out of tea-towels to keep the heat in the incubator and stayed up until 3am when it finally wriggled its way free of the shell.
When I've got the film on the PC, I will upload it to the web and post a link here.
We are going to name the babies after gemstones. We are calling the first one Amber (hope it's a girl lizard
).
Amber eat two small crickets and a locust this morning.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement at this wonderful time!
I'm going to run out of cigars and champagne soon - 7 more eggs to go and she's pregnant again
Resting after a busy night!
