Hello all,

I have a pair of Children's pythons. The male is larger than the female. What size shoudl the female be to safely and healthfully attempt breeding her?

Thank you,

Brian

What is their current size? And you can always put them together this November or so and see what happens for a couple hours. Can't hurt.

How old are they? My female is easily bigger than my male. But I have seen four foot Children's and mine are only just over two feet and a pound and 7plus years old. So it is one of the species I would worry about age more than size. I think I wouldn't try breeding them until they are three or four years old. Mine I got at 5 and they had not successfully bred before that dispite a couple owner's efforts. I have gotten one part clutch (the month they were shipped to me only one surviving) and two successful clutches since then (15 and 12 babies)
