plant cleaning...

anyone have any advice on how i should go about cleaning live plants for my gecko cages?i got a couple plants the other day from home .... but i fear pesticides and other harmful crap. how should i go about cleaning them that will be safe for both the gecko and the plant? thanks...

i usually take the plant out of the pot, and shake off as much of the potting medium as possible, be sure to get off all the vermiculite/perlite/dirt mixture as possible, and replant it in a clean pot with plain potting soil that has no pesticides/herbicides/fertilizers.
as for the plant itself, i would just wipe down the leaves with a damp rag and call it good enough. small amounts of bat guano can be used to fertilize if necessary, but with pothos i've never found it a requirement to keep the plants going.
