HELP!

I have tiny little bugs in my substrate ...like little knats. What to do???

Sounds like you got Bark bugs. They dont hurt the animal . The nexit time you chang the Bark Either put the bark in the freezer for 24Hrs, or microwave the bark . Good Luck Russ

I would identify the bug first, could be mites, could be bark flies, could be chiggers. If i were you I'd get the animals out of the cage and take one of the bugs to your vet to have it identified. It "could" be harmless but i wouldnt take the chance, again i cant give you too much help because i dont know what the bug is.

what is a chigger? Aren't mites shaped rounder? This is small but large enough for me to see it's long and winged.
Also I don't mean to sound stupid but what are bark flies?
